Round 6… at this stage of the season many of our rookies are fattened up and ready to trade – and it’s the time to start looking at your bye structure.

Defenders

Following Lachie Whitfield’s corkie, he really struggled with his movement – which means Lloyd takes top-spot (despite having a poor game of his own). If you’re not a Whitfield owner, he has a break-even of 173 so you would expect his price to drop next week.

Matthew Suckling’s injury sees him dropping from the table – and Brad Sheppard mirrored his teams poor display at Geelong’s home ground.

At the bottom end of the table we see three players tied with an Average of 96 – including James Sicily (with a good Last 3 Average) and a Round 12 bye.

Midfielders

Jaeger O’Meara is making the most of Tom Mitchell’s absence jumping to first place. And the Sun’s Brayden Fiorini has been flying under the radar with a stellar 121 3-game average bumping out Ricky Henderson.

Rucks

Brodie Grundy is stamping his authority as the Ruck to have this year. Jarrod Witt’s started the year playing against some of the leagues lesser-lights so I think he will be replaced by Max Gawn in coming weeks. Regardless – any of these 4 ruck picks were excellent choices.

Forwards

Travis Boak continues on his excellent year with a massive 127. He’s joined by team-mate Brad Ebert, and down in Geelong Gary Ablett Jnr has turned back the clock to push Isaac Heeney and Jack Newnes out.
