This Week in AFL Fantasy
Round 22 – Who stays and who goes.
We have one more game and one last chance to improve your standing. Definitely look at who your players are playing and trade accordingly.
Sadly this will be my last “Rage Trade” article for the year but I’ll be following up with my thoughts for a synopsis (or autopsy) of 2018.
Break-Evens
With one game to go, there’s no point looking at break-evens. At this stage I just suggest having a heart-beat on the bench. The risk during this time of year is final bound teams resting players – and last minute outs aren’t unheard of.
Noticeable Outs from Injury
Please see the following article to give you the full snap-shot of Injuries
Stay or Trade?
Eddie Betts (40) – Forward pockets are seldom fantasy relevant. Many rookies average more. Trade
Aiden Bonar (36) – Bench cover. Has some coin for a final upgrade. Keep
Ben Brown (38) – Tall forwards are rarely consistent and should not be owned. Trade
Darcy Byrne-Jones (27) – Played a tagging role on Sidebottom (which failed). Trade
Jason Castagna (37) – Hurt his quad during the game but played on. Trade him if you have him. Injured
Charlie Curnow (44) – Key position forwards are rarely consistent. Trade
Brent Daniels (24) – Bench cover. Keep
Jack Darling (3) – Head hit the turf in a McDonald tackle. Injured
Kane Farrell (26) – Bench cover. Keep
Jeremy Finlayson (32) – Gave away 4 frees and limped off during the game – but came back on before the end. Bench cover. Keep
Bayley Fritsch (50) – Perfect player to upgrade. Trade
Jarryn Geary (37) – Tagging Smith. On the receiving end of a knee to the head in a tackle. Injured
Matt Guelfi (39) – Has value, so is perfect to downtrade and finalize your team. Trade
Jack Higgins (40) – Has value, so is perfect to downtrade and finalize your team. Trade
Lachlan Keeffe (25) – Bench cover. Keep
Ed Langdon (51) – If you have him, I’d upgrade him. Trade
Touk Miller (50) – Played a tagging role on Zorko. I’d upgrade him if I had him. Trade
Aaron Mullett (35) – Has some value, so is perfect to downtrade and finalize your team. Trade
Clayton Oliver (75) – Tagged by Hutchings. Still one of the premium mids. Keep
Alex Pearce (21) – Bench cover if you have him. Keep
Christian Petracca (49) – Has been inconsistent this year again. Perfect player to upgrade from. Keep
Sam Petrevski-Seton (48) – Apart from a blood rule he seemed ok. Simply doesn’t average enough for this part of the season but is too expensive for the bench. Trade
Cameron Polson (19) – Bench cover. Keep
Ben Ronke (42) – Worth some coin for your last upgrade. Keep
Liam Ryan (29) – Bench cover. Keep
Scott Selwood (44) – Got a poked eye during the game. I’d trade him if I had him though. Trade
Isaac Smith (54) – Tagged by Geary. Has another difficult game in Hawthorn. I’m trading him. Trade
Charlie Spargo (41) – Played forward on Hurn. Good player to dissolve for some last minute cash. Trade
Michael Walters (38) – Not a top forward this year. Trade
Alex Witherden (15) – The popular trade target pulled a hamstring and won’t play next week. Injured
